Figure Four Leg Lock

How it is done

With the Defender on their back and the Attacker standing at their feet, the Attacker grabs the Defender's left ankle. The Attacker steps and spins 180 degrees around the Attacker's upstretched left leg, pulling the ankle along, ending up with Defender's leg between the Attacker's legs, facing the Defender again. This twists and bends the Defender's leg into position, so the Attacker sits down and hooks their free leg over the Defender's trapped ankle.

How to escape

Outside of reaching the ropes to get the referee to call a break of the hold (the common escape employed for escaping this hold in pro wrestling), the Defender can roll themselves to their stomach which effectively reverses the hold.
